Rodri not nominated for Player Of The Season

On 9th of May , the Premier League announced the nominations for the Player Of The Season award. However, Rodri who has been brilliant this season wasn't picked. 

His stats have been great despite being a CDM. Declan Rice of Arsenal was picked , another CDM, but Rodri performances this season have been far superior. He not only guards the defence, he is the main part of the City team.

Rodri has had the most accurate passes with 3053 , most in the league. He has the most accurate passes in the final third as well as the most final third entries in the league. Not only that he is the 2nd most rated in the league with 7.62 average points per game according to WhoScored.com. ¹

He has 16 G/As(7 goals, 9 assists) despite being a CDM. Van Dijk has been included in the nominations despite him being really poor this season and he hasn't been Liverpool's best player this season. I really don't know how much more Rodri has to have made the list. 

Not only this Rodri is unbeaten in the Premier League when he has played for Manchester City. These awards are not worth the hassle they are based on money, marketing and advertisement.
